A royal invitation: Portage County families invited to Fairy Tale Ball
By Cassie Lennox
Attention all young princes, princesses, superheroes and characters of Portage County. It is once again time for the Fairy Tale Ball, and all are invited.
Playhouse Theater Group, in partnership with Dance Education Center (DEC), is royally delighted to announce the 2018 Fairy Tale Ball, which will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Sentry Grand Ball Room, 601 Michigan Ave. N., Stevens Point.
Tickets – which do sell quickly – are $20 per child for children ages 12 and younger, and $25 for adults. They are available at tix.playhousetheatergroup.com, or in person with cash or check at First Weber Realty in Stevens Point or Placeway Pools in Plover.
All proceeds from this event will be used to help give area children more opportunities to shine.
The ballroom is able to hold about 400 people, and around half of the tickets are still available, according to Playhouse Theater representatives.
“This is a wonderful event, and so magical,” said Tori Schultz with Playhouse Theater Group. “It doesn’t have to be anything more than a special night, and it’s everything it’s supposed to be.”
This magical gala will feature 35 authentic fairy tale characters, all arriving to help bring the party to the dance floor while making memories for a lifetime. They are venturing from castles and palaces, under the sea, galaxies far, far away and even somewhere over the rainbow.
