Raczek to be inducted into WFCA Hall
Longtime Pacelli High School football coach Bob Raczek is among a list of 22 high school and college football coaches
and special contributors who will be inducted into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame on April
1 in Middleton.
The 21st Hall of Fame Banquet is the highlight of the annual WFCA Clinic held in Madison.
Raczek has compiled a 234-112-2 record as Pacelli's head football coach, having served in the position since 1967.
In 37 seasons as a head coach, he has a 248-128-2 career record, including a four-year stint at Plainfield Tri-County.
Putting his football record in perspective, Raczek-coached teams have accounted for over 90 percent of the program's
wins since 1956.
In his 33 seasons at Pacelli, he has had just seven losing seasons, and four of those came in the first four years
at the helm (1967-70). He has coached a pair of undefeated teams - 13-0 in 1986 and 12-0 in 1995 - with both winning
Wisconsin Independent Schools Athletic Association championships. He also coached five WISAA State runner-ups,
including the 1999 squad.
In addition to his football duties over the past 33 seasons, he has also coached basketball, track and field, hockey,
and has served as Pacelli's co-head wrestling coach since 1983. |
