Elderon knocks off Wittenberg
Elderon knocked North Division leader Wittenberg from the undefeated ranks with a 7-4 win in BABA action Sunday.

Aaron Dobbe was the star for Elderon (6-5), as he went 4-for-4 with a home run, double and 4 RBI. His two-run single in the eighth gave Elderon a three run cushion after his team ran into trouble the inning before.

Wittenberg (10-1) had bases loaded with one out in the seventh, but Jaime Bembenek got out of the jam and went on to record the save. Rick Boda picked up the victory for Elderon.

Elderon built a 2-0 lead in the third inning on solo homers from Bembenek and Robbie Wyman. Dobbe connected for a two-run shot in the fifth.
Elderon remains in fourth place in the North Division trailing Wittenberg, Almond and Manawa.
