SPASH

Baseball: SPASH (4-1, 0-1) lost to Wisconsin Rapids, 3-1, on Tuesday, April 20. Kyle Lepak knocked in the team's only run, as the Panthers were only able to muster up four hits in the game. Nate Tuen picked up the loss, as he struck out six in five innings.

Softball: The top-ranked Panthers (7-0, 3-0) beat 10th-ranked Wisconsin Rapids, 1-0, on Tuesday, April 20. Kelly Jablonski struck out five to earn the victory, as the win increased SPASH's win streak to 51 games, and improved Jablonski's career record to 38-0. Jacci Seefedlt's RBI single in the sixth inning scored Sam Przybelski to provide the game's lone run. The team has outscored its opponents by a 65-1 margin so far this season.

The team beat Rhinelander, 6-0, on Thursday, April 15. Seefeldt and Katie Maultra each had a double and two hits, while Megan Wesenberg added a two-run double to lead the offense. Brittany Lang added two hits and Jablonski struck out 10 to pick up the win on the mound.

Track and field: The boys finished with a total of 106 points to beat Lakeland (42 points) and Northland Pines (38) in a triangular at Goerke Park, on Monday, April 19. Capturing individual titles were Enrique Ramos (100 dash), Kenton Mehlberg (300 low hurdles), Scott Moss (200 dash), Josh Joswick (long jump), Phil Koloski (triple jump), Kiel Hausler (3,200 run), Tanner Peelen (discus) and Troy O'Reilly (shot put). Also taking home titles were the 3,200-relay team (Luke Langhorst, Paul Zdroik, Harrison Smith and Josh Zaborowski) and the 400-relay team (Ryan Drapes, Aaron Tetzloff, Ramos and Moss).

Girls soccer: SPASH (5-0, 1-0) beat Marshfield, 4-0, on Thursday, April 15. Jillian Sauer had a goal and an assist, and Jane Kasukonis, Lindsay Schrader and Missy Giles also added scores. The Panthers have outscored their opponents by a 25-0 margin so far this season under new head coach Marie Muhvic.

Golf: SPASH finished with a score of 320 to defeat D.C. Everest (321) and Adams-Friendship (403) in a triangular in Mosinee, on Monday, April 19. Freshman Scott Pavelski fired a 75 to lead the team followed by Brandon Tanko (81), Joe Thompson (82) and Jenessa Bonikowske (82). Steve Cook shot an 87 and Eric Kurzinski added an 89.

Boys tennis: The Panthers beat Wausau West, 7-0, on Tuesday, April 20. Picking up wins were: Matt Clegg (No. 1 singles), Tim Moeller (No. 2 singles), Steve Berg (No. 3 singles) and Dan Fletcher (No. 4 singles); as well as the doubles teams of Ross Rettler and Ted Baier (No. 1), Steve Hessler and Jared Koerten (No. 2) and Mike Bayba and Jon Wenzel (No. 3).

Pacelli

Baseball: The Cardinals (4-1, 3-0) game against Rosholt was suspended in the top of the sixth inning due to rain, with the score tied, 2-2, on Tuesday, April 21. Jimmy Sadlemyer struck out seven on the mound and allowed only two hits before the contest was halted. The game will be continued on Tuesday, May 11.

Softball: Pacelli (5-0) beat Rosholt, 10-0 in five innings, on Tuesday, April 21. Kari Heagle tossed a no-hitter, as she struck out eight and walked four. Ally Rutta had two hits, scored two runs and knocked in two, while Beth Boden and Smantha Buza each had a pair of hits.

Track and field: The boys finished sixth and the girls took fifth at the Amherst Invitational on Monday, April 19. The boys finished with 55 points, while the girls totaled 52, as Amherst won the boys side with 115.5 points and Bonduel took home the girls title with 141 points.

The boys finished fourth, with 68 points, and the girls took second, with 133 points, at the Shiocton Invitational, on Thursday, April 15. Bryon Shannon won the 100 dash, Greg Marsicek took the 800 run and Jamie Klein won the 3,200 run to lead the boys, while the 1,600 relay team also added a victory. Katie Fix led the girls, as she won the 800 and 1,600 runs. Jenni Koch added a title in the long jump, while the 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams also captured titles. Port Edwards won the boys team title with 94 points, while Marion won the girls side with 162 points.

Golf: The Cardinals won the Pacelli Invite on Tuesday, April 20, as they shot a collective 347 to easily out-distance second place Amherst's 381. Alex Riordan won medalist honors by firing an 80, while freshman Grant Shafranski shot an 87. Ryan Koch and freshman Chris Loeffler each shot a 90 and Mike Okray added a 91.

The squad won a CWC quadrangular meet at the Shawano Lake Golf Club on Monday, April 19. Riordan led the team with a 41, as the Cards shot a collective 172 to hold off Bonduel (180). Koch and Shafranski each shot a 42, while J.P. Guillemette had a 47 and Loeffler added a 49.

The team finished with a score of 179 to win the Weyauwega Invitational on Thursday, April 15. Riordan earned medalist honors by shooting a 39, while Shafranski and Loeffler each had 45. Koch and Guillemette each added a 50 and Okray had a 51. Weyauwega finished second with a 187.

Amherst

Baseball: Amherst (2-6, 1-5) lost to Tri-County, 12-9 in five innings, on Tuesday, April 20. Shelby Suski and Morgan Pease each had a pair of RBIs. Jason Schweitzer took the loss on the mound, as the game was stopped early due to rain.
The team lost to Rosholt, 23-4, on Monday, April 19. Pease hit a three-run home run and Joe Doll added a pair of hits. Pease took the loss on the hill after he gave up six earned runs in one-third of an inning.

The team lost to Menominee Indian, 4-3, on Thursday, April 15. Pease had two hits and two RBIs, while Schweitzer struck out seven in the loss.

Softball: The Falcons (7-2, 5-2) beat Tri-County, 22-5 in five innings, on Tuesday, April 20. Katie Stuczynski had four hits and eight RBIs to power the offense. Jessica Doll added two hits and Stephanie Pederson had a double and two RBIs. Tiffy Jastromski picked up the win.

The team beat Rosholt, 15-5, on Monday, April 19. Colby Mehne had two hits and four RBIs, while Stephanie Pederson and Jessica Doll each added two hits and two RBIs. Margo Borgen, Jastromski and Caitlin Allen also had two hits apiece. Jastromski struck out six to pick up the win.

Amherst beat Nekoosa, 3-2 in 10 innings, on Friday, April 16. Stuczynski's walk-off triple with two outs in the bottom of the 10th scored Mehne to win the game. Stuczynski had two triples and two RBIs, while Mehne added two hits and scored twice. Jastromski struck out 14 in 10 innings of work.

The team beat Menominee Indian, 10-0 in five innings, on Thursday, April 15. Doll hit a three-run homer, while Jastromski struck out eight to pick up the win.

Track and field: The boys captured the team title with 115.5 points, while the girls finished third with 84 points, at the Amherst Invitational on Monday, April 19. Brad Koback led the boys, as he won the 100, 200 and 400 dashes. Brittany Dick paced the girls with titles in the 400 dash and 1,600 run. Bonduel finished second to Amherst on the boys side with 114 points, while their girls team took home the title with 141 points.

Golf: The Falcons finished second at the Pacelli Invite on Tuesday, April 20, as they shot a collective 381 to finish behind place Pacelli's 347.

The team finished in third place with a 181, in a CWC quadrangular meet at the Shawano Lake Golf Club on Monday, April 19. Trevor Knight shot a 44 to lead the way, and Lewis Diver was right behind with a 45. Aaron Dose and Steve Toftum each shot a 46, while Jennifer Glodowski had a 48. Pacelli won the event with a score of 172 and Bonduel was second with a 180.

The squad finished third, with a score of 194, at the Weyauwega Invitational on Thursday, April 15. Dose led the team with a 46, followed by Diver (47), Knight (48), Glodowski (53), Toftum (56) and Brian Zajackowski (56). Pacelli won the event with a 179 and Weyauwega-Fremont took second with a 187.

Rosholt

Baseball: The Hornets (5-2, 3-2) game against Pacelli was suspended in the top of the sixth inning due to rain, with the score tied, 2-2, on Tuesday, April 21. Don Carter struck out nine on the mound and allowed three hits, while Matt Zdroik had both of Rosholt's hits before the contest was halted. The game will be continued on Tuesday, May 11.

The team (5-2, 3-2) beat Amherst, 23-4 in five innings, on Monday, April 19. Zdroik hit for the cycle, as he scored five runs and drove in six runs. Zdroik went 4-for-4, including hitting a two-run homer. Shane Higgins added a three-run blast, while Scott Bembenek and Chris Domask had two hits and two RBIs apiece. Brandon Bembenek added three RBIs and Luke Vosz picked up the win on the mound.

The Hornets lost to Manawa, 3-1, on Thursday, April 15. Carter earned the loss on the mound, as he struck out five and walked eight.

Softball: Rosholt (1-7, 0-7) lost to Pacelli, 10-0 in five innings, on Tuesday, April 21. Anna Zdroik struck out nine, but picked up the loss as Pacelli's Kari Heagle tossed a no-hitter.

The team lost to Amherst, 15-5, on Monday, April 19. Zdroik took the loss on the mound.

The Hornets lost to Manawa, 19-9, on Thursday, April 15. Zdroik struck out 14, but her performance was marred by a defense that committed 11 errors in the field. Emily Venne had two doubles, scored two runs and drove in three. Eileen Bembenek added a pair of doubles

Track and field: The boys finished third and the girls took second at the Amherst Invitational on Monday, April 19. The boys finished with 80 points, while the girls totaled 113. The girls were led by Jamie Scott, who won the high jump and the long jump, and Katie Yenter, who won the 100 and 300 hurdles. Amherst won the boys side with 115.5 points and Bonduel took home the girls title with 141 points.

Almond-Bancroft

Baseball: The team lost to Iola-Scandinavia, 8-7, on Thursday, April 15. Jason Sanchez had a RBI triple, and Wes Schulke, Larry Sanchez and Sam Barden each added two hits. Schulke picked up the loss on the mound.

Softball: The team (1-5, 1-4) beat Wild Rose, 5-1, on Friday, April 16. Danielle Yonke had a triple among her three hits, while Dani Turzinski struck out eight to pick up the win. Turzinski and Amanda Fletcher each added a pair of RBIs.

Track and field: The team finished fourth at the Bowler Invitational, on Monday, April 19. Ryan Stephens won the 1,600 run and finished second in the 3,200 to lead the boys. Dan Campos added a third place finish in the 110 hurdles. Felicia Dake led the girls with titles in the 100 dash and the long jump, added a second place finish in the 400, and teamed up with Ellen Danforth, Trisha Jenz and Kjersti Olson to place second in the 1,600 relay. Jamie Dorshorst also took home a title for Almond, winning the 3,200 run.

The boys finished second, with 88 points, and the girls took third, with 67 points, at the Shiocton Invitational, on Thursday, April 15. Brandon Warner led the boys, as he won the long jump and 110 hurdles, while Stephens won the 1,600 run and the 400-relay team was also victorious. Dorshorst was the lone winner for the girls squad, as she captured the 3,200 run. Port Edwards won the boys team title with 94 points, while Marion won the girls side with 162 points.
