SPASH

Girls Swimming: SPASH finished in third place at the Panther Relays on Friday, August 22. The Panthers won titles in three events, the 200-yard Medley Relay (Lauren Golla, Sharisa Hillstead, Danielle Alinea and Maddy Etrheim), the 200 Butterfly Relay (Alinea, Stacy Smrz, Etrheim and Golla) and the 400 Breaststroke (Keely Bohm, Etrheim, Jenni Todd and Alinea). The 400 I.M. relay took home a third place finish, while the 400 backstroke and 800 freestyle relays finished fourth.

Girls Tennis: The Panthers won five titles and finished with two second place finishes at the SPASH Invitational on Wednesday, August 20. Ali O'Neal (No. 2 singles) and Kaylei Sorenson (No. 3 singles) took home individual crowns, while the No. 1 team of Maria Davis and Rachel Benn, the No. 2 team of Kim Effinger and Tracy Rozak, and the No. 3 team of Sarah Peterson and Cristina Clawson all won titles. Lindsey Arnold (No. 1 singles) and Meghan Placzek (No. 4 singles) both lost in their respective championship match to finish second.

Volleyball: SPASH lost to Eau Claire Memorial, 15-11, 17-15, and La Crosse Central, 15-9, 15-8, on Tuesday, August 26. Nikki Olson had 11 service points and eight kills, while Megan Wesenberg had 21 assists. Jayice Fritsch added eight kills, while Layla Anason contributed seven kills.

Girls' Tennis: The Cardinals finished second at the Diocesan Invitational in Wausau on Monday, August 25. Aschley Jurgella won the No. 1 singles title, while Maddie DeBot won the No. 2 singles crown. The No. 1 doubles team of Kaitlyn King and Caitlin Shannon took home second place.

Jurgella won the individual title at the Altoona Invite on Monday, August 25. DeBot and the doubles team of King and Shannon won consolation championships.
