SPASH gymnastics finishes season undefeated in dual meets

The Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) gymnastics team finished its regular season with a 140.375-135.725 dual meet win over Eau Claire Memorial Monday, Feb. 11. The Panthers finished the season 5-0 in dual meets.

"We had a strong meet with our gymnasts taking the majority of the top-three places. Our team is looking ready for the upcoming tournaments - starting on Saturday (Feb. 16) with conference in Marshfield then on to sectionals in Neenah," said Mary Olszewski, SPASH coach.

Katiy Munsey took first in the overall with a score of 35.375 with teammate Raenee Bugarske close behind in second-place with 35.275.
Bugarske (8.85) took first in the vault, Carrie Williamson (8.75) finished second and Munsey (8.55) took third.

On the floor exercise Bugarske (9.125) finished first and Kim Klosno (8.875) took third.

Munsey finished first on the balance beam and Jenna Weinbauer took third.

On the bars Munsey (8.925) took first, Anne Simonis (8.85) claimed second and Bugarske (8.8) captured third.
