SPASH

Girls basketball: The Panthers (2-1 overall, 2-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference) beat Marshfield, 40-37, on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Ashley Konopacki scored 12 points for the team. Katie Rasmussen added eight points and seven rebounds.

The team defeated Wausau East, 44-38, on Tuesday, Nov. 20. Shannon Collier and Konopacki had 12 points each for SPASH.

Boys basketball: SPASH (0-2 overall, 0-1 WVC) lost, 68-51 to Marshfield in its WVC opener on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Ryan Taggatz led all scorers with 19 points. Dan Osili added seven.

The team lost, 73-60, in its season opener against Eau Claire Memorial on Saturday, Nov. 24. Taggatz scored 17 for the Panthers with Osili and Eric Hoffman each adding nine.

PACELLI

Girls basketball: The Cardinals (0-3 overall) lost, 45-38, to Amherst on Tuesday, Nov. 27. See story page 18.

The team lost, 39-28, to Assumption on Saturday, Nov. 24.
Radomski led the team with 12 points.

The Cardinals lost, 62-31, to Pittsville in their season opener on Friday, Nov. 23. Emily Radomski and Megan Piotrowski had seven points each for Pacelli.

AMHERST

Girls basketball: The Falcons (2-1 overall) defeated Pacelli, 45-38, on Tuesday, Nov. 27. See story page 18.

Amherst overall lost, 51-36, to Rosholt on Tuesday, Nov. 20, despite a dominant performance by center Molly Simkins. Simkins had 25 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

Boys basketball: The Falcons (1-0 overall) beat Rosholt, 49-38, on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Travis Basset led Amherst with 16 points and eight rebounds. Scott Nykl added 10 points and eight rebounds and Ryan Schulfer scored 10. Tim Olson led the squad in assists with six.

ROSHOLT

Girls basketball: The Hornets (4-0 overall, 1-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference small) crushed Plainfield Tri-County, 57-34, on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Emily Steines led all scorers with 22 points and also had 10 rebounds. Natasha Check added 10 points.

The team defeated Amherst, 51-36, on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Steines led the team with 12 points. Kate Flick added 10 points and Tammi Scott had eight points and five rebounds.

Boys basketball: The team (0-1 overall) lost to Amherst, 49-38, on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Dane Zdroik scored 14 points and Adam Macht, 13, in the loss.

ALMOND-BANCROFT

Girls basketball: The Eagles (0-1 overall) lost, 30-27, to Montello on Monday, Nov. 26. Heather Wittig led the team with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Missy Beigel chipped in with six points while Darlene Turzinski had eight rebounds.
