Sports capsules SOLINSKY ADVANCES IN FOOT LOCKER RACE: Stevens Point Area Senior High Schools' Chris Solinsky finished second in the Midwest Regional of the Footlocker Championships Saturday, Nov. 24. The finish qualified him to advance to the Footlocker National Finals on Saturday, Dec. 8, in Orlando, Fla. Solinsky finished in 15:22. The winner, Timothy Moore of Novi, Mich., finished in 15:15. * * * HEEG NAMED TO AP ALL-STATE TEAM: Pacelli Cardinals quarterback Brad Heeg recently earned an honorable mention on the Associated Press All-State football team. Heeg was co-player of the year in the Central Wisconsin Conference large school division and led the team to a 9-1 record. The Cardinals tied for the conference title with Wittenberg-Birnamwood. For the year he passed for 1,606 yards and 20 touchdowns, setting new Pacelli records in both categories.
