CWC LARGE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM: A number of local players were recently
named to the Central Wisconsin Conference large division All-Conference Team.
Pacelli quarterback Brad Heeg and Amherst running back Derek Konkol were named
co-offensive players of the year.

SPECIAL SPORTS BOWLING: Bowlers from the Stevens Point YMCA Special Olympics and Stevens Point Public Schools Special
Sports participated in a tournament at Skipp's Bowling Center on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The bowlers bowled three games and then had a pizza party at Aldo's Italian Restaurant.

UW-SP BASKETBALL COOKOUT: The University
of Wisconsin-Stevens Point men's basketball team will host a pre-game cookout before its "Purple-Gold"
intrasquad scrimmage from 5:15 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
The cutout will celebrate the tip-off of the team's upcoming season and includes
all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and soda and will also feature the 2001-2002 Pointer basketball team
and coaches. The cookout will take place in the Quandt Fieldhouse.
During the cookout community members will have the opportunity to take pictures
and get autographs from the Pointer players and listen to a season preview from head coach Jack Bennett.
Prices for the cookout are $5 for adults, $4 for students and $3 for children.
Proceeds will benefit the UW-SP men's basketball program.
