KEDROWSKI TEAMS FOR DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP:
Karin Kedrowski, a junior from Plover, and Etta Hilligoss, a sophomore from Loveland, Colo., recently won the Midwest
Conference tennis doubles championship at No. 3 doubles for Ripon College.
They defeated Beloit College by scores of 2-6, 6-2 and 7-5, finishing their doubles
with 14 wins and three losses.
Kedrowski, a graduate of Pacelli High School, also finished with 16 wins and three
losses at the No. 3 singles position, losing in the conference semi-finals.
The Ripon women finished as runner-up to Beloit in the conference and had a 15-3
dual match record.

SAINTS WILL DEDICATE ARENA: The Central
Wisconsin Saints Hockey Association will host the dedication and grand opening of the Saint's Ice Arena on Saturday,
Dec. 8, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Arnott Lion's Park.
The new ice arena is a collaborative effort of the Arnott Lions Club, the town
of Stockton, the National Hockey League Players Association, the Community Foundation of Portage County and the
Central Wisconsin Saints Hockey Association - working together with a vision to make hockey a sport that is available
and affordable to all families in central Wisconsin.
Scheduled to appear are NHL representatives, Mike Gartner, a player to be inducted
into the NHL Hall of Fame, Mark Osieki, Green Bay Gamblers coach, and Devin Smith, NHLPA business manager. The
University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point hockey players will also make an appearance. All will be available for
signing autographs.
There will also be a silent auction and raffle.

The Central Wisconsin Saints Hockey Ice Arena is located on Highway J and 4th
Street in Stockton.

TAILGATE PARTY WILL BE HELD BEFORE POINTER GAME: A
Pointer tailgate party will be held at Goerke Park from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 17, prior to the UW-SP
and Bethel (Minn.) football game, the first round of this year's NCAA Division III playoffs.
For the third time in UW-SP history and the first time since 1987, the Pointer
football team will play at home in the postseason. It is the Pointers' third appearance in the NCAA playoffs and
their first-ever NCAA home playoff game.
The event under the big tent on the open field between the stadium and Highway
10 (near the old warming house) is open to campus and community. Brats, burgers, chips and soda will be available
for $5.50 per person for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under at the door. Tickets for the game must be purchased
separately.
A tent and music will be provided. Participants can visit with Stevie and Stephanie
Pointer, watch the UW-SP Cheer and Stunt Squad and be eligible for drawings for UW-SP merchandise.
Parking will be available in the field near the tent, on nearby streets or in the
P.J. Jacobs parking lot.

SPECIAL SPORTS COMPETES IN BOWLING REGIONAL: Twenty-one
bowlers from Stevens Point Public Schools Special Sports participated in the Northern Regional Bowling Tournament
on Saturday, Nov. 10, in Wausau.
Bowlers who placed first, second, or third in their respective divisions advanced
to the State Tournament in Waukesha on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30, and Dec. 1.
Individual results were as follows:
First-place winners: Nick Cousineau, Mackenzie Kinney, Josh Soik and Andrew Vandehey.
Second-place winners: Katie Ainsworth, Tyler Feltz, Jessica Lukasavage and Ashley
Rinka.
Third-place winners: Jenna Magyera and Paul Steinfort.
Fourth-place winners: Ye Jin Harrison, Sara Olson and Stacy Trzebiatowski.
Fifth-place winners: Adam Daniewicz, Hee Kyung Harrison, Sean Johnson, Nathaniel
Laube and Ashley Zblewski.
Sixth-place winners: Cody Dahms, Sam Pflugradt and Levi Rahm.

SKATE FOR RED CROSS: The Stevens Point
Parks and Recreation department will sponsor a skate for the Portage County American Red Cross at the K.B. Willett
Arena on Saturday, Nov. 24, from noon to 1:50 p.m.
Admission cost is $2.50 per person and all admission proceeds will be donated to
the Portage County American Red Cross. Skate rentals will be available for $2.50.

MCCARVILLE UPDATE: Janel McCarville,
a 2001 Stevens Point Area Senior High School graduate, scored a game-high 22 points in leading the University of
Minnesota's women's basketball team to a 95-65 victory over Lithuania LKKA in an exhibition game Thursday, Nov.
8.
McCarville hit eight of 10 field goal attempts, had nine rebounds and was six of
six from the free throw line.
