Pointer baseball and soccer teams advance
UW-Stevens Point takes part in the WIAC tournament this weekend in Whitewater and will meet top-seeded UW-Whitewater

in game 4. The winner of game 4 then faces the loser of game 3, with the winner playing the winner of game 3.
The Pointers tied with UW-LC for third place in the league, but rain on Sunday
forced the Pointers to take the fourth seed. UW-SP lost the first game of a doubleheader to UW-LC 5-3 in 10 innings
and the Eagles led 2-0 in the fourth inning of the second game when the game was cancelled after a two-hour rain
delay.

third seed because of their victory in the first game. The Pointers were 25-11 overall for the season.

UW-Stevens Point won the opener 2-1 as Jeff Pieper (Wausau) struck out eight in a complete game effort. The Falcons
