SentryWorld will host Junior Golf Tournament Aug. 8


SentryWorld golf course will be hosting its first-ever Junior Golf Tournament on Wednesday, Aug. 8. The tournament is open to boys and girls age 8 to 17. Proceeds from the event benefit junior golfers in central Wisconsin.

There will be four divisions: 8-9 year-olds will play six holes from the blue tees; 10-11 year-olds will play six holes from the green tees; 12-13 year-olds will play nine holes from the white tees; and 14-17 year-olds will play 18 holes from the gold tees.

Entry fees are: $11 for 8-9 year-olds with tee off at 10:15 a.m.; $15 for 10-11 year-olds with tee off at 9:45 a.m.; $20 for 12-13 year-olds with tee off at 9 a.m.; and $33 for 14-17 year-olds with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Entries are due by Monday, Aug. 6.

Entry fees include golf, driving range before round, lunch after golf, SentryWorld gift package and trophies for winners.

There will also be a clinic for children ages 5 to 7 on the driving range at 11 a.m. Cost for the clinic is $6 and includes lunch, SentryWorld bag tag and SentryWorld logo ball.

SentryWorld is in need of parent scorers for each group. Parent scorers will not be in the same group as their child.
