Pacelli
Softball:
The Pacelli girls softball team defeated Marion, 7-0, behind a one-hitter by Lindsey Gagas on Tuesday, April 17.
The Cardinals are now 2-0 on the season.
Gagas and Becky Fisher had two hits apiece for the Cardinals, with one of Fisher's
a double. Amanda Tepp also had a double.
Pacelli jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the fourth inning and added single runs in
the fifth and sixth.
Amherst
Golf: The
Amherst golf team started its season defeating Bonduel and Iola-Scandinavia at Glacier Wood Golf Course in Iola.
Varsity scores were Amherst 164, Bonduel 192 and Iola 216.
Medalist for the match was Falcon junior Brian Pionkowski who shot a 1 over par
36. Other Amherst golfers were Matt Clinton, 42; Jeremy Sherf, 43; Andy Harvey, 43; and Nic Genske, 46.
Bonduel low scorers were Brad Stichen 46, Ben Graf 46, and Ryan Kallies 47. Iola's
top two golfers Regan Forrester, and Jordan Olson each shot a 43.
The Falcons start the CWC season with a 2-0 record and continue with a 3:30 p.m.
match on Friday at Tree Acres Golf Course in Plover against Weyauwega and Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
Rosholt
Baseball: The
Hornets continued their winning ways with a 17-1 victory over Iola-Scandinavia on Tuesday. Rosholt is now 3-0 on
the season and in conference play while Iola is 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
Tom Stanislawski led the Hornets with two three-run home runs, in the first and
second innings, giving him six runs batted in for the day. Randy Printz and Kevin Flick also had two hits each,
with each getting a double. Printz had two runs batted in.
Pitchers Bryce Domask, Matt Zdroik and Brandon Ganoni combined for six strikeouts,
while allowing one run, two hits and four walks.
