With a 5-2 week, The Sports Guy grabbed a one-game lead over Contributing Editor in our "pick 'em and pray column." Check out the entire crew's predictions and comments on The Gazette's website, www.pcgazette.com.

Here's our comments:

The Sports Guy: 1) Wisconsin Rapids took Marshfield into overtime and the Panthers were crushed by the Tigers. A close game, but the Red Raiders will win at home. 2) W-B spoils Pacelli's homecoming, but a Cardinals upset isn't out of the question. 3) Rosholt rolls over Bowler. 4) Ohio State hands the overrated Badgers their third straight loss. 5) FSU survives Hurricane in one of college football's fiercest rivalries. 6) If they can't beat the Bears at home, there's no way the Packers will win at Detroit. 7) Keyshawn will continue to talk trash, but even Minnesota's garbage defense will shut down this "star." Fellow Buccaneer receivers Reidel Anthony and Jacquez Green, who are probably "flashlights" in Keyshawn's eyes, will outshine the Vikings secondary.

Contributing Editor:
SPASH wins if the Panthers aren't overcome by sulfurous north winds. The Packers can't win at home, much less in Detroit's dome. Dennis Green's "short" unbeaten streak is over.

Intern 1: 1) I support my hometown – WR by 3. 4) It will be close, but Wisconsin is going to get its third Big Ten loss. 7) It's Monday night and Dennis Miller will have a lot to make fun of – but the "Purple People Eaters" will be on the attack and come up with the big win.

Advertising Representative 1:
1) SPASH has momentum after Homecoming win. 2) Cards eek out last-second thriller. 4) Bucky blocks Buckeyes' bowl bid. 5) Canes rough up old man Weinke 6) Packer on again, off again season is on again. 7) Lynch knocks Moss out for season.
