Raymond J. Stroik, 86, Wittenberg, father of three Portage County residents, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at North Central Health Care Center in Wausau.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway, with the Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating.
Military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
A visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the Mass, with a parish rosary at 9 a.m.

Mr. Stroik was born Aug. 25, 1925, in the town of Germania in Shawano County, a son of the late Julian and Julia (Wierzba) Stroik.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II in Japan. He was a member of the Elderon Memorial VFW Post 8068.
He was married to Patricia Hintz on Sept. 21, 1953, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent.
He worked at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee, and the couple also farmed the family farm in the town of Germania.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway and its Men's Society, of which he was a former president.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Paul (Kari), Whiting, Michael (Julie) and Joseph (Cindy), both of Wittenberg, John (Mary), Waldo, Frank, Rosholt, and Samuel (Kristi), Schofield; five daughters, Charmayne (Mike) Paap, Wittenberg, Pamela (Mark) Smith, Saukville, Lorraine Skibba, Junction City, Monica (Todd) Abt, Ringle, and Sally Stroik, Schofield; one sister, Emily Filtz, Sugar Camp; one brother, Victor Stroik, Oak Creek; 26 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter in infancy, Maryann; six brothers, Tony, Frank, Felix, Stanley, Walter and Leo; one sister, Esther Steinke; and three grandsons.
