| Vilas G. Yach Vilas G. Yach, 93, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass. Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home of Stevens Point assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. Mr. Yach was born July 19, 1918, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Dudzik) Yach. He entered the U.S. Army on March 27, 1942, in Madison. He served during World War II and received the World War II Victory Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, American Defense Service Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on Dec. 14, 1945, at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas. He was married to Lucille Losinski on May 12, 1943, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Upon his return from the service, he worked for Shippy Shoe Store until he retired in 1980. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sandra (Timothy) Kluck, South Carolina, and Camille (Jim) Spatzek, Northbrook, Ill.; two sisters, Virginia Golla and Ruth (Lawrence) Losinski, both of Stevens Point; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and Leonard; and one sister, Selma. |
