Marion J. Swen, 93, Wisconsin Rapids, sister of two Portage County women, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Arborwood Lodge in Wisconsin Rapids.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 15, at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner, with the Rev. Kevin Ader officiating. Burial was in Plainfield Cemetery in Plainfield.
Visitation was at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids Wednesday and at the church Thursday.

Mrs. Swen was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Plainfield, a daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Youngs) Bentley.
She was married to Harry F. Swen on Aug. 16, 1940, in Illinois. He died in June of 1984.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner.
Survivors include one son, Jerry (Darleene), Wisconsin Rapids; one daughter, Janice (Dick) Chilewski, Coloma; three sisters, Iva Rupp, Sheboygan, Margery Schilling, Almond, and LaNae Keough, Bancroft; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith; two brothers, Ralph and Don; two sisters, Doris and Alice; one grandson; and one son-in-law, Wayne Tafelski.
