Peter J. Schmitt, 50, Almond, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Schmitt was born on Sept. 20, 1961.
Survivors include his mother, Janice Schmitt; three brothers, Randy (Catherine), Joe (Angel) and Ken (Rachelle); and one sister, Cindy (Scott) Knoll.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and one sister, Elizabeth Wollman.
