| Raymonf C. 'Ray' Rustad Raymond C. "Ray" Rustad, 82, Amherst Junction, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at North New Hope Lutheran Church in the town of New Hope, with the Rev. John Poffinbarger officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Visitation was at the church from 11 a.m. Friday until the service. Voie Funeral Home of Iola assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.voiefuneralhome.com. Mr. Rustad was born Oct. 26, 1929, in the town of New Hope, a son of the late Clarence and Clara (Rambeck) Rustad. He lived in the Amherst Junction area and attended Rosholt schools. He was married to Rose Catozzi on March 2, 1957, at North New Hope Lutheran Church, where he was a lifelong member. He farmed in the town of New Hope for his entire life. In addition to farming, he had also worked at the Waupaca Foundry and Faivre Implement. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Linda Rustad, Indianapolis, Ind., Laura (Dan) Berger, Franktown, Colo., Karen (Rudi) Rudiger, Stevens Point, Sam (Scott) Osman, Lakewood, Colo.; one son-in-law, J.J. Jackson, Sparks, Nev.; one sister, Evelyn Severson, Elderon; and five grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela; and four brothers, Willard "Bill," Myron, Odin "Rusty" and Clarence "Teddy." |
