Robert L. "Bob" Kranig, 68, Stevens Point, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
A Rosary Service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Shuda Funeral Home in Stevens Point.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12.
Mr. Kranig was born Nov. 18, 1943, a son Grace (Waldowski) Kranig and the late Lawrence Kranig. He graduated from Pacelli High School in Stevens Point in 1961.
He was married to Marilu Daniels in 1964. They divorced in 1992.
He started his career at the Soo Line Railroad. He joined Prudential Insurance Company in 1972 where he completed 28 years of service, during which he moved his business and family to La Crosse in 1976. He returned to Stevens Point in 1992 and worked independently through Packerland Brokerage Services into his retirement.
Survivors include one daughter, Carrie (Travis) Baker, Arvada, Colo.; two sons, Rob (JoAnn), Onalaska, and Brad (Becky), Petoskey, Mich.; his mother; two sisters, Bonnie (Don) Pazynski, Marinette, and Corrine, Plover; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Felder.
