| Felix J. Garski Jr. Felix J. Garski Jr., 76, 10387 E. Tree Lake Road, Rosholt, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at his home while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the Mass. The American Legion Post 509 of Rosholt, of which he was a member, will have a ritual at 6:30 p.m. Friday, and a general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday, both at the funeral chapel. Condolences may be offered online at www.shudafuneral.com. Mr. Garski was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Felix and Clara (Koback) Garski. He attended local schools. He was married to Delores Singer on Oct. 1, 1955, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Torun. The couple settled in Stevens Point and later moved to the Rosholt area. He owned and operated Garski Refrigeration while also working at Foremost Foods until retirement in 1991. He was a member of American Legion Post 509 of Rosholt. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lonnie, Stevens Point, and Randall and Russell (Anita), both of Rosholt; one daughter, Karen (Chuck) Zdroik, Rosholt; two sisters, Loretta (Norbert) Singer, Shantytown, and Delores (Ray) Hoppa, Custer; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerome; and one sister, Gladys Skierka. |
