Norma L. Mallison

Norma L. Mallison, 94, Waupaca, a town of Belmont native and mother of a Stevens Point man, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Waupaca Elder Care in Waupaca.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 30, at St. John Lutheran Church in Almond, with Vicar Brian Roehrborn officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the town of Belmont.

Visitation will be at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the service.

A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. Norma was born Oct. 4, 1915, in the town of Belmont in Portage County, a daughter of the late Robert and Ida (Shmudt) Pomerenke.

She was married to Raymond J. Mallison on April 10, 1934, in Waupaca. He died on Feb. 3, 1973.

Survivors include two sons, LaVerne, Wisconsin Rapids, and Dennis (Carol), Stevens Point; eight daughters, Joann (Verlyn) Schulke and Elaine (Gaylord) Abrahamson, both of Waupaca, Eldean (Phillip) Kalata, Wisconsin Rapids, Karen (Orville) Riske, Clintonville, Sandra Vroman, Wautoma, Diane (Donald) Paciewitz and Carolyn Cauley, both of Lohrville, and Barbara Nickoli, Rosendale; 31 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-stepgrandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald; one infant son, Roger; nine brothers and sisters; and one grandson.
