William J. Lehmann Sr.

William J. "Uncle Bill" Lehmann Sr., 60, Junction City, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at his home in the town of Eau Pleine, following a battle with cancer.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, Aug. 1, at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City from 3 to 6 p.m.

Mr. Lehmann was born Nov. 7, 1949 in Madison, a son of the late Egon and Helen (Lang) Lehmann. He was a 1967 graduate of La Follette High School in Madison.

He entered the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, serving three years. He was honorably discharged.

He attended Mid-State Technical Institute in Wisconsin Rapids, obtaining an engineering degree.

He was married to Bobbie Snapp on Feb. 16, 1968. They later divorced.

He was married to Anita "Neda" Sullivan on June 2, 1984.

He was employed as a draftsman by Joerns Corp. in Stevens Point for most of his career.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also was a longtime member of a local pool league. He was a master woodworker.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael, Weston, and William Jr., Junction City; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
