| Robert R. Carey Robert R. Carey, 40, Loveland, Colo., a former Amherst resident, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in Loveland, Colo. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at Peace Lutheran Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Gretchen Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst. A memorial has been established to create a college fund for Mr. Carey's son, Chase, and can be directed to Chase Carey c/o International Bank of Amherst, PO Box 39, Amherst, WI 54406. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.hollyfuneralhome.com. Mr. Carey was born July 17, 1969, in Stevens Point, a son of Carol (Trzebiatowski) and the late Dale Carey. He was a 1988 graduate of Amherst High School. During high school he placed second in the state wrestling tournament. He also played football. He was a big-game hunter. He was employed as a machinist. Survivors include one son, Chase Dale Carey; his mother, Carol (Robert Sr.) Lea, Amherst; three brothers, Reynold (Tina) Carey, Lafayette, Tenn., Randall (Tracy) Carey, Amherst, and Robert (Shawn) Lea Jr., Amherst Junction; uncles; one aunt; and nieces and nephews. |
