Phyllis J. Burgeson, 85, Wisconsin Rapids, an Almond native, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Private family services will be held at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Burgeson was born Dec. 5, 1924, in Almond, a daughter of the late Edward and Stella (Bennett) O'Keefe.
She was married to Melvin "Skelly" Burgeson in June 1959 in Dubuque, Iowa. He died on July 25, 1999.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Colleen (Dayton) Kauth, Nekoosa, and Jayne (Mike) Curry, Wisconsin Rapids; two sons, Bart, Wisconsin Rapids, and Steve (Sara), Rudolph; two sisters, Jeannette (Dale) Terrill, Ripon, and Donna Zellner, Wisconsin Rapids; one brother, Robert (Nancy) O'Keefe, Minocqua; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Richard, Gregory and William O'Keefe; and three sisters, Virginia Gukenberger, Faith Winkler and Hannah Paterick.
