| Robert G. Phillips Robert G. Phillips, 85, Wild Rose, a former Wild Rose police chief and the father of an Almond man, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at the Wild Rose Manor in Wild Rose. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose, with Pastor Jack Kaetterhenry officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Wild Rose. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Thursday until the service. Condolences may be offered online at www.hollyfuneralhome.com. Mr. Phillips was born July 17, 1924, in Milwaukee, a son of the late Leo and Jeanette (Berman) Phillips. He was married to Jacqueline Hoholik on July 24, 1976, in Milwaukee. She died on Aug. 2, 2007. Before retiring, he was the police chief in Wild Rose for 17 years. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Hahn, Ypsilanti, Mich., Cheryl (Thomas) Kowalski, Franklin, and Jeanette (Robert) Stueck, Grafton; one son, Richard, Almond; one brother, James (Yvonne), Wild Rose; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Leo; and one sister, Lorraine Rodell. |
