| Frances B. Obremski Frances B. Obremski, 93, formerly of Mosinee, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at the Portage County Health Care Center. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in the town of Hull, with the Rev. Wesley Janowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass. St. Casimir Rosary Society will combine with a general rosary at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A memorial in her name will be established at a later date. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. Mrs. Obremski was born March 8, 1916, in the town of Dewey, a daughter of the late Andrew and Stella (Wrycza) Lassa. She was married to John P. Obremski on Aug. 18, 1936, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in the town of Hull. He died on April 20, 1999. She worked at the Antlers Supper Club in the town of Dewey for several years. She and her husband also farmed in the town of Dewey for more than 54 years. She was a member of St. Casimir Rosary Society and the Golden Girls Birthday Club. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy (Harry) Rozak, Plover, and Delores (August) Disher, Stevens Point; three sons, Ben (Alice), John Jr. (Helga) and Harry (Melanie), all of Stevens Point; one sister, Stella Kolodziej, Mosinee; two brothers, Albin (Frances) Lassa, Mosinee, and Frank (Marion) Lassa, Oregon; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene; four brothers, Peter, Edward, Joseph and Theodore Lassa; two sisters, Emily Jazdzewski and Gertrude Cimuchowski; and three grandchildren. |
