| Helen Grzesiak Helen Grzesiak, 91, formerly of Minnesota Avenue in Stevens Point, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at the Portage County Health Care Center. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. George Thayikuzhithottu officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass. St. Stanislaus Rosary Society will combine with a general rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial in her name will be established at a later date in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. Mrs. Grzesiak was born April 20, 1918, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Anton and Lydia (Kowaleski) Mayek. She was married to Harry Grzesiak on July 5, 1941, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Junction City. He died Aug. 20, 1999. After the marriage the couple settled in Milwaukee. The couple moved back to Stevens Point in 1948. She worked at Weber Tie & Tackle Co. for a number of years. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Rosary Society for more than 50 years. Survivors include one son, Garry (Kris), Plover; two daughters, Susan (James) Ostrowski, Junction City, and Jane (Pete) Laux, Plover; two sisters, Ceil Mattson, Stevens Point, and Wanda Hall, Plover; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one infant daughter, one sister and seven brothers. |
