| Stephen J. Flynn Stephen J. Flynn, 57, Stevens Point, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at St. Michael's Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev Al Burkhardt officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the services. Mr. Flynn was born Dec. 5, 1952, in Fulda, Minn., a son of Ceil (Schwab) Flynn and the late Gene Flynn. As a child he moved with his family to Stevens Point and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1970. After graduation he worked for American Motors in Kenosha. He then attended Mid-State in Wausau for mechanical design. He returned to the area and began working at Consolidated Paper and retired from NewPage in 2008. He was married to Cynthia Pitcher on Dec. 24, 1992. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Darla and Lilah, at home; his mother, Ceil Flynn, Thorp; one brother, Greg (Barb), Stevens Point; and two sisters, Margaret (Dave) Bronk, Stevens Point, and Maureen (Dan) Welgos, Thorp. |
