| Debra 'Deb' Dziak Debra "Deb" Dziak, 53, 5388 Highway 66, Stevens Point, the owner of The Grooming Room, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with the Rev. James Joseph Genovesi, FHPA, officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Thursday until the services. Memorials in her name to the Portage County Humane Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. Mrs. Dziak was born July 18, 1956, in Quinn, S.D., a daughter of Edith W. (Hinman) Strandell and the late Edwin J. Strandell. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1974. She later served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years. She was married to Terrence N. Dziak on Jan. 9, 1987, in Stevens Point. She worked at various jobs, including as a hairdresser, truck driver and Humane Society officer before opening The Grooming Room in 2000. She was a member of the National Groomers Association. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Edith Strandell, Antigo; one sister, Kay Kolesar, Antigo; and one brother, Eddie (Mary Ann) Strandell, Deerbrook. |
