Peggy Joyce Dalsbo

Peggy Joyce Dalsbo, 56, Stevens Point, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Plover. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the service.

A memorial will be established in her name in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. Dalsbo was born June 22, 1953, in Stevens Point, a daughter of David and Joyce (Soule) Church. She attended schools in the Stevens Point area.

She was married to Norbert "Nubbs" Dalsbo on April 20, 1972, in Milwaukee.

After the marriage, they settled in Milwaukee until returning to the Stevens Point area in 1980.

She was employed at Shopko for 25 years.

She was a volunteer for the Special Olympics for many years. She and her husband were volunteers of the Linwood Springs Research Center where they would adopt an owl each year.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gary (Holly), Stevens Point, and Greg (Jessie) and Josh (Jenny), both of Plover; her parents, David and Joyce Church, Plover; three brothers, Dennis (Carol) Church, Plover, Tom Church, Watersmeet, Mich., and Bert Church, Bessemer, Mich.; one sister, Jane (Jim) Waitanek, Ironwood, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.
