Pam Zarse

Pam Zarse, 56, 2620 Welsby Ave., Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 18, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with the Rev. George Thayikuzhithottu officiating.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Monday until the services.

Mrs. Zarse was born Jan. 7, 1954, in Milwaukee, a daughter of Delores (Stanchik) Pitcher and the late Harold Pitcher. She was a member of the first graduating class of Stevens Point Area Senior High School.

She made her career with Sentry Insurance from 1975 until the time of her death.

She was an advocate of the American Cancer Society after surviving breast cancer. She was also involved with the Humane Society.

Survivors include her mother, Delores, Stevens Point; one sister, Karin (Fred) Wells, Colorado; her maternal grandmother, Clara Stanchik, Stevens Point; one stepsister, Cindy Flyn, Stevens Point; the love of her life, Dennis Panzer, Wisconsin Rapids; nieces; and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Pitcher.
