Josephine Shudarek, 93, Star Lake, a former Stevens Point resident and mother of three Portage County residents, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sayner.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services.
Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Shudarek was born March 16, 1916, in Butternut, a daughter of the late Anton and Victoria (Gadomski) Orlos.
She was married to Alex Shudarek on Nov. 14, 1938, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in the town of Hull.
She worked at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the cafeteria.
She had lived in Star Lake for the last 27 years.
Survivors include her husband, Star Lake; two daughters, Pat (Don) Clendenning, Stevens Point, and Linda (Dave) Meronek, Custer; two sons, Alex Jr. (Sheri), Phelps, and Joe (Pam), Stevens Point; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Herald; four sisters, Janet Yack, Phyllis S. Wlochal, Genevieve Shudarek and Florence Wroblewski; and one infant brother.
