| Tommie L. Schulz Tommie L. Schulz, 67, 1902 Post Road, Stevens Point, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. Per his wishes, no services will be held. Mr. Schulz was born Sept. 27, 1942, in Plymouth, a son of Verna (Goldbeck) Schulz and the late Waylon Schulz. He graduated from Plymouth High School in 1960. He entered the United States Navy on Nov. 20, 1962, and served two separate duties and was honorably discharged on Nov. 19, 1968, in Bainbridge, Md. While in service he earned the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1976. He was a 20-year employee of the Point Brewery and later worked and retired from Sunrise Medical in 1993 due to health reasons. He was a member of the Plover-Whiting Lions Club from 1977 to 1993 and served as president and tail twister. He served as union president at Point Brewery and as union steward at Joerns Sunrise. He was secretary/treasurer for the Junior Classic and Sportsman League. Survivors include his mother, Verna Goldbeck, Plymouth; two sons, Aaron and Paul, both of Stevens Point; two brothers, Jerry, Plymouth, and Randy, Florida; and one sister, Debbie, Utah. |
