Walter E. Schoegler

Walter Elmer Schoegler, 93, Wauwatosa, father of an Amherst woman, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Mother of Good Counsel Church in Milwaukee. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, until the Mass.

Church and Chapel Funeral Homes in Brookfield assisted the family. Condolences may be offered online at

Mr. Schoegler was born Aug. 15, 1916, in Milwaukee.

He was married to Esther M. Lecher. She preceded him in death.

He was a World War II veteran.

He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include two daughters, Judith A. Fritch, Menomonee Falls, and Barbara J. (Charles) Trzebiatowski, Amherst; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
