Peter Sands

Peter Sands, 83, Brookfield, a town of Plover native, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010.

Private services will be held. Burial will be in St. Bronislava Cemetery in Plover.

Mr. Sands was born April 1, 1926, in the town of Plover, a son of the late Frank and Cecilia (Szczesny) Sniadajewski.

He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

After service he worked at AC Delco in Milwaukee until he retired.

Survivors include five nieces, Mary (Jim) Claridge, Brooklyn, Terry (Jim) Sorensen, Plover, Grace (Jim) Harter, Green Bay, Joanne Haas, Madison, and Elizabeth (Thomas) Havlovick, Whiting; and 10 nephews, Joe (Sandy) Sniadajewski, Bill (Debbie) Sniadajewski, Frank Sniadajewski, Wally (Cheryl) Sniadajewski and Ernie (Jan) Flatoff, all of Plover, Jim (Deb) Sniadajewski, Amherst, Edward (Laura) Sniadajewski and Tom (Lori) Sniadajewski, both of Stevens Point, Norbert (Lek) Flatoff, Madison, and Mark (Darlene) Flatoff, Wisconsin Rapids.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Agnes Sniadajewski, Katherine Flatoff and Hedwig Sniadajewski; and two brothers, Walter Sniadajewski and Leo Sniadajewski.
