Nancy K. Hartmann

Nancy K. Hartmann, 55, Stevens Point, the transportation coordinator for the Stevens Point Area Public School District, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point while under the care of hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, with the Rev. John Paul Lobo officiating.

Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the service.

Ms. Hartmann was born April 16, 1954, in Chicago, a daughter of Mary (Bauer) Hartmann and the late Norman Hartmann. She graduated from high school in Des Plaines, Ill., and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

She served in the U.S. Navy as a dental hygienist.

She was employed with the Stevens Point School District for 24 years and currently was the transportation coordinator for the district.

Ms. Hartmann was a member of St. Bronislava Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Peter (Amanda) Anderson, Silver City, Iowa, and Joseph (Tracy) Anderson, Madison; her mother, Mary (Richard) Joyner, Loudon, Tenn.; four brothers, Norman Hartmann, Brookfield, Ill., James Hartmann, Thomas Hartmann and John Hartmann, all of Lac du Flambeau; one sister, Susan (Mark) Piazza, West Dundee, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
