Virginia Goodwin
Virginia (Malick) Goodwin, 88, a Stevens Point native and sister of a Stevens Point woman, died Wednesday, Feb.
3, 2010, in San Pedro, Calif.
Mrs. Goodwin was born in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose Malick Sr. She attended Stevens
Point grade schools and graduated in 1939 from Emerson High School.
During World War II, she served in the U.S. Navy as a Wave. She was on a ship in the Pacific that delivered the
payroll to other ships that would come to get them. Later she served in Germany.
She was married to Bill Goodwin Sr. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one brother, Maurice Malick, Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Ethel Sprague, Stevens Point; one grandson,
Bill (Danielle) Goodwin; and one great-granddaughter, Magdalene Jean Carter.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Roberta Carter; one son, William Jr.; five sisters, Willavene Malick,
Elizabeth Malick, Lucile Sanborn, Catherine Jurgens and Marjorie Malick; and five brothers, John Malick, James
Malick, Charles Malick Jr., Walter Malick and Earl Malick. |
