| Esther M. Flees Esther M. Flees, 87, 3349 Whiting Ave., Stevens Point, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Care Partners in Stevens Point while under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Chester Osowski, her first cousin, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the services. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Condolences may be offered online at www.shudafuneral.com. Mrs. Flees was born May 11, 1922, in the town of New Hope, a daughter of the late John and Eva (Bushman) Yenter. She attended local schools. She was married to Joseph Flees on Oct. 21, 1939, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple farmed on County Road OO in the Rosholt area until 1988. They then moved to 3360 Evergreen Drive, Rosholt, and have spent the last two and a half years at Care Partners in Stevens Point. She was a member of the St. Adalbert Rosary Society. Survivors include her husband; 10 daughters, Dorothy (Dan) Kropidlowski, Ramona (Ray) Biadasz and Elaine (Larry) Gagas, all of Rosholt, Toni (Jay) Magnuson, Plymouth, Minn., Bonnie Zietlow, Pewaukee, Diane (Len) Cychosz and Marian (Ralph) Gagas, both of Custer, Cindy (Chris) Bestul, Cleveland, Wis., Esther (Joe) Retzer, Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Joie (David) Flees-Lauderman, Austin, Texas; three sons, Eugene (special friend Connie), Osceola, Iowa, James (Barbara), Bloomington, Minn., and Ralph (Kris), Savage, Minn.; two brothers, John (Gladys) Yenter, Rosholt, and Casimir Yenter, Stevens Point; 26 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Angeline Lepak, Rose Wiza and Annie Flees; and one great-granddaughter. |
