| Rae A. Dyb Rae A. Dyb, 83, 1300 Briggs St., Stevens Point, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at St. Michael's Hospital following a short illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Christiansen officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon Thursday until the service. Condolences may be offered online at bostonfuneralhome.net. Mrs. Dyb was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Madison, a daughter of the late Julius and Angela (Barney) Gust. She grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison East High School. She attended the University of Wisconsin two years. She was married to Phil Gandolph but was later divorced. She was married to Luther Dyb. He died in 2005. She worked in Lorraine County, Ohio, as chief deputy clerk of courts for a number of years. She later moved to Mexico and then Arizona before moving to Stevens Point in 1995 to be near her sons. She spent the last seven years taking care of her mother, who died in January at the age of 104. Survivors include one son, Carl (Renee) Dyb, Stevens Point; two daughters, Barbara (Dick) Valley, McGregor, Minn., and Philana (Gene) Friede, Stoughton. She was also preceded in death by two sons, William Dyb and Joseph Gandolph; and five brothers and sisters. |
