Eldon D. Catura

Eldon D. Catura, 82, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at his home. He was under the care of Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services.

Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 20, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Stevens Point. Burial will take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, until the services. A luncheon will follow the service.

Mr. Catura was born July 10, 1927, in Owen.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946.

He was married to Mary Louise Neilsen of Withee in 1952.

He worked and retired from GT&E (now known as Verizon) after 40 years with the company.

Upon retirement he moved to Tucson, Ariz., with his wife.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Neilsen, Madison, Bradford (Anita), Milwaukee, Brent (Ruth), Stevens Point, and Nathan (Peg), New Berlin; and three grandchildren.
