Gary L. Brey, 62, Wisconsin Rapids (village of Biron), father of a Plover woman, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be in Richfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and again from 10 a.m. Friday until the services.
Mr. Brey was born Sept. 23, 1947, in Marshfield, a son of the late Charles "Bud" and Adella (Lokken) Brey.
He was married to Betty Pompulis on April 9, 1966. The marriage ended in divorce on Oct. 1, 1981.
He was married to Sharon Clark on March 17, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nev.
He was employed at NewPage Corporation in Wisconsin Rapids on the blade coater and retired Sept. 30, 2009.
He was a member of the Klondike Fox Trackers Club in Richfield.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; one son, Troy (Joy), Wisconsin Rapids; one daughter, Tammy Brey, Plover; two stepsons, Scott (Jayne) O'Dell, Surprise, Ariz., and Shaun (Tracey) O'Dell, North Carolina; two brothers, Darrell (Dawn), Wisconsin Rapids, and Duane (Paula), Loyal; one sister, Karen (Hayden) Brey-Gabriel, Honolulu, Hawaii; and six grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Trent Lon; and one brother, Larry.
