| Henry R. Wiernik Jr. Henry R. Wiernik Jr., 67, 3307 County Trunk M, Stevens Point, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at his home after a short battle with liver cancer. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek, with the Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the services. A general rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.pisarskifuneralhome.com. Mr. Wiernik was born Sept. 20, 1942, in the town of Carson, a son of the late Henry and Angeline (Klesmith) Wiernik. He served in the National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He was married to Diane Olszewski on Aug. 25, 1973, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Mill Creek. He was employed at Dairy Mans Co-op in Junction City for three years, Joerns Furniture for four years and Domtar Paper Mill in Nekoosa for 39 years as a machine tender, retiring Dec. 31, 2007. He was a member of the St. Bartholomew Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brad (Julie), Junction City, and Patrick (Lori), Stevens Point; one daughter, Lynn (Daniel) Rusch, Junction City; one brother, Raymond (Eleanor), Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Liz Eron, Stevens Point; six grandchildren; and three stepgrandsons. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Maryann Czerwony. |
