Sister Donna (Sister Dennis) Warzon
Sister Donna Warzon, formerly Sister Dennis, 72, a Sister of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis (SSJ-TOSF)
for 55 years, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Motherhouse Chapel in Stevens Point,
with the Rev. Robert Greatorex officiating. Burial will be in the convent cemetery.
Visitation will be at the chapel from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the Mass.
Memorials in her name may be offered to the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis.
Pisarski Funeral Home of Stevens Point assisted the family with arrangements.
Sister Warzon was born Aug. 9, 1938, in Hofa Park in Shawano County, a daughter of the late John and Veronica (Swiecichowski)
Warzon.
She was received into the novitiate of the Order on Aug. 10, 1955, and professed perpetual vows Aug. 10, 1962.
She was a convent homemaker for 18 years. From 1977 to 1999 she was a childcare worker at St. Coletta's in Jefferson,
a school and home for the developmentally disabled. Prior to her retirement in 2009, she managed the Postal Service
at St. Coletta's. She has lived in the St. Joseph Motherhouse in Stevens Point since January.
Survivors include one sister, Audrey (William) Socha.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia (Joseph) Holewinski; and her stepfather, Stanley Jach. |
