Florence Schulist

Florence Schulist, 86, Stevens Point, a former Rosholt resident and owner of Schulist Bar, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at the Stevens Point Care Center.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Rev. Marcin Mankowski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass. St. Adalbert’s Rosary Society will combine with a general rosary at 7: p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

A memorial in her name will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Schulist was born April 27, 1924, in Rosholt, a daughter of the late John and Frances (Garski) Kurszewski.

She was married to Chester Schulist on Aug. 31, 1946, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt.

The couple owned and operated Schulist Bar on Highway 66 for 22 years. She also worked for Ore-Ida Foods, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of the St. Adalbert Rosary Society.

Survivors include her husband, Stevens Point; four daughters, Marlene (John) Skibba, Florida, Nancy (John) Kruzicki, Rosholt, Jenell Shulist, Middleton, and Corrine (Art) Oksuita, Stevens Point; one son, Harvey (Sandra), Custer; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
