Sandra A. Risberg, 64, 2029 Welsby Ave., Stevens Point, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, following a battle with cancer.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Alan Burkhardt officiating.
Visitation was scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the Mass.

Ms. Risberg was born Dec. 20, 1945, in Stevens Point, a daughter of Lorraine (Kluck) Prondzinski and the late Roman Prondzinski. She grew up Stevens Point, attended St. Stanislaus Catholic Grade School and graduated as valedictorian from Maria High School. She later attended the University Wisconsin Madison for four years.
She was married to Peter Risberg in 1969. They later separated.
She worked for the ophthalmology department at the Rice Clinic for a few years and later became a part owner and operator of The Playhouse, selling children's clothing.
In addition, she spent her time volunteering for the Justice & Peace Committee at St. Joseph Parish and subsequently became employed with the Gwiazda Polarna Newspaper, working in circulation and mail order. More recently, she worked for Ministry St. Michael's Hospital as an office coordinator in rehabilitation services.
Survivors include one daughter, Brooke (Kevin) Gehlhausen, Livonia, Mich.; her mother, Stevens Point; one brother, Terry (Sue) Prondzinski, Stevens Point; one sister, Denice (Ernie) Bielen; and five grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Debbie.
