Loretta M. Rasmussen, 62, 3374 Mission Lane, Plover, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Susan Zencka officiating. Burial will take place in Forest Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. at the funeral home Saturday until the time of service.

Mrs. Rasmussen was born March 4, 1948, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Henry and Alice (Jurgella) Garski. She grew up in Stevens Point and attended St. Peter Catholic School.
She was married to Allen Rasmussen on April 4, 1964, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
She worked for the Lullaby Furniture Company for a number of years before becoming a manager at Burger Chef. She then became the owner and operator of the Silver Dollar Bar in Custer from 1983 to 1984.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Sandy (Steven) Fletcher, Plover, Julie (William) Heindl, Mosinee, and Diane (Mark) Beranek, Arpin; two sons, Allen Jr. (Keith), Stevens Point, and Brian (Tammy), Wisconsin Rapids; two sisters, Patricia (Michael) Piotrowski and Shirley (Duane) Koscielski, both of Winter Haven, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth; and her stepfather, Roman Chesney.
