Chester P. Przybylski

Chester Peter Przybylski, 83, Stevens Point, formerly of Thorp, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Harmony Living Center in Stevens Point.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp, with the Revs. Keith Apfelbeck and Brian Jazdzewski officiating. Burial will be in New St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the services. A combined Knights of Columbus and parish rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Przybylski was born June 4, 1927, in the town of Withee, rural Thorp, a son of the late William and Lottie (Nowicki) Przybylski. He attended local schools and Thorp High School.

He was married to Caroline Digoski on May 1, 1954, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. She died on July 16, 1999.

They lived and farmed in the town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, for 38 years before moving to the city of Thorp in 1992. He had been living with his son, Chester Jr., since December 2009 in Stevens Point.

He worked most of his life farming. In his younger years, he worked for a while at Blue Moon Cheese in Thorp and Thompson Wire in Chicago.

He was a member of St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Thorp and Knights of Columbus Queen of Peace Council 4634 in Thorp.

Survivors include two sons, Chester M. Jr., Stevens Point, and Charles (Lana), Thorp; and five grandchildren.
