Evelyn Loecher

Evelyn "Grandma" Loecher, 93, Amherst, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Bob Pedretti officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in the town of Lanark.

Visitation will be held at the Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, with a rosary service at 7 p.m., and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the Mass.

Mrs. Loecher was born Sept. 19, 1916, a daughter of the late Felix and Martha (Werowinski) Kenowski.

She was married to Joseph Loecher on July 20, 1939. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, James (Sally), Scandinavia, and Tim (Patti), Kewaunee; six daughters, Ramona (Anthony) Zblewski and Sandra (Ed) Karch, both of Amherst Junction, Carol (Herb) Borchert, Waupaca, Judi Marquard and Diane (Pat) Stuczynski, both of Amherst, and Patt (George Pliska ) Loecher; three brothers, Ambrose Kenowski, Ray Kenowski and Hank (Adoline) Kenowski; one sister, Bernice Laskowski; 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, David; one sister, Tekla; one brother, Greg; two infant sisters; one infant brother; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
