| Kenneth E. Sannes Kenneth E. Sannes, North Augusta, S.C., brother of two Amherst men, died Monday, May 25, 2009, at his home. A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in North Augusta, S.C., with the Rev. David F. O. Thompson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Kairos Prison Ministry of S.C., PO Box 6251, Aiken, SC 29804; or to St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church, 471 W. Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC 29841. Rowland Funeral Home of North Augusta, S.C., is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.rowlandfuneralhome.com. Mr. Sannes was born March 17, 1917. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired after working 43 years at Kimberly-Clark. He was active in the Kairos Prison Ministry for 29 years, the American Red Cross and Boy Scouts, as well as other community activities. Survivors include one son, David, Rocky Mountain, N.C.; two daughters, Valerie McAuliffe, Prairie du Sac, and Kathleen Tillman, Belvedere, S.C.; three brothers, Gahart (Henrietta) and Norman (Alta), both of Amherst, and Gordon (Joanne) of De Pere; one sister, Nancy (Irv) Johnson, Marshfield; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. |
